Mandarin Gems is a family-owned manufacturer and retailer that is committed to providing fine and custom jewellery through intricate craftsmanship and exquisite quality diamonds and gems stones for our clients. Unlike many local retailers who mass-produce and import their jewellery, Mandarin Gems hand-crafts luxurious pieces in Canada through their personal workshop by gold-smiths with over 40 years of experience. Mandarin Gems is a proud member of the Canadian Jewellers Association.
Our Story
Mandarin Gems & Jewellery Co. Ltd was introduced in 1978 and was founded by Alex Yip. As an entrepreneur Alex has modeled his business as a national wholesaler. Mandarin Gems is a business which has been handed down generation by generation which originated from Tsim Tsa Tsui, Hong Kong. The vision was to provide exceptional service as well as luxurious jewellery. Throughout the tenure of the company we have been recognized for some outstanding designs, which has earned us ’97 and ’98 International Pearl Design Contest. As a well rooted company Alex continues his success on delivering exquisite jewellery with intricate craftsmanship.
